At Let’s Wet Texas, we’re more than a lake construction company — we’re a family that grew up working the land, understanding its challenges, and finding joy in transforming it for the better.

We’re the Rankin family, proud Texans with deep roots in the South. For over a decade, we’ve specialized exclusively in lake and pond construction and restoration, along with ranch road building and other construction-equipment work that keeps Texas land running strong.

Our story started at home,  building our very first pond on our own property. What began as a personal project quickly turned into a passion. Neighbors noticed, word spread, and before we knew it, we were helping ranchers and landowners across South Texas turn their dry pastures into thriving water features.

Since then, we’ve built dozens of ponds and lakes — small, large, and everything in between — each one custom-shaped to the land and purpose it serves. Every project we complete reflects what we value most: honesty, hard work, and the satisfaction of seeing life return to the land.

Michael Rankin, a retired  District Fire Chief from San Antonio, brings leadership and integrity to every job site. Patty, a retired web development instructor from Orange Technical College in Orlando, Florida, keeps the business organized and customer-focused. Patty’s brother Andy and her son Ben lead the field operations — running the skid-steers, excavators, and ensuring every pond holds water after careful collaboration with owners.

Together, we’re a tight-knit family team that takes pride in doing things the right way — the Texas way. Whether it’s an exotic ranch or a quiet homestead, we believe every piece of land deserves the beauty and life that only water can bring.
