About Us

At Let’s Wet Texas, we are more than just a company; we are a family dedicated to transforming landscapes with passion, hard work, and integrity. Founded by Michael and Patty Rankin, plus the priceless collaboration of two family members, Andrés, and Benjamin.  Our journey is rooted in the values of honesty, family, hard work, and dedication that were instilled in us from a young age.

Michael Rankin brings a diverse skill set to our operations. With a background in accounting, Michael worked for 25 years at the San Antonio Fire Department, where he started as a firefighter, and retired as a Chief. His experience in emergency services and leadership was instrumental in shaping our company’s resourceful and persevering spirit. After his retirement, two decades ago, Michael turned his attention to land improvement, starting with tasks like brush clearing, land leveling, stormwater management, and the construction of rural roads. His vision for sustainable land use has been instrumental in our success.

Patty Rankin is a business administrator with a keen eye for web development. She has made significant contributions to technical education, having recently retired from teaching web development in CTE (career and technical education). Ponds require regular maintenance, from removing debris to managing algae and aquatic plant growth. If you’re adding fish, you’ll need to balance predator and forage species to maintain a healthy ecosystem.
